Mechanical engineering is one of the major activities in engineering profession and its principle are involved in the design, study development and construction of nearly all of 

the Mechanical engineering.

Programme Outcomes (POs): 

UG Programme

PO1: Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.

PO2: Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.

PO3: Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.

PO4: Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis, and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

PO5: Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.

Message from HOD

It is my pleasure and honor to welcome you to the Department of Computer Engineering of Aravali Institute of Technical Studies, Udaipur which is one of the premier institutions of South India. The Department aims at imparting quality education and strives to quench the thirst for knowledge. The Department offers B.Tech. (CSE) and M.Tech. (SE)  programs.  The Department lays emphasis on theoretical and practical aspects of subjects taught viz. Computer Technologies, Distributed Computing, Information Security, High Speed Networks, Wireless and Mobile Networks, Programming Languages, networking and database management, Software engineering and several other domains of computer engineering. The classes are conducted by procuring latest technologies viz. smart classes and multimedia. The curriculum inculcates industrial summer training which enable students to get acquainted with work culture and in turn help them groom themselves.

Curriculum

Laboratories

Computer branch is well established with modern Computer Laboratory facilities having computer available one to one per students. Internet facilities are available in separate Laboratory. Computer branch has qualified and experienced faculties. Class rooms are well equipped with overhead projector. Faculties are deputed to the industry to gain firsthand experience on industrial exposure which enhances the teaching capability of the faculty and allows them to enrich their classroom delivery.

A Special feature of the department is its fully equipped laboratory with the latest state-of-the-art equipments and Software’s. Students are encouraged to do Programming tasks of their choice under the guidance of experienced faculty.

DBMS Lab

The Lab is dedicated for Database related practicals. High configuration computer systems installed with software’s like Oracle Server, MySQL are used by the students to execute their Database related projects and assignments.

Computer Network Lab

Equipped with latest networking related devices, the lab facilitates students to perform Computer Network practicals. All important Network Simulators like Cisco Packet Tracer, NetSim, OMNET and NS3 are installed to provide solution to the practical problems faced by computer scientists.

Java Programming Lab

Departmental Computer Labs consist of Licensed Software under Microsoft campus agreement and MATLAB with Simulink Performance Tools like Image Processing Tool Box, Neural Network Tool Box, Wavelet Transforms Toolbox, Filter Design Toolbox, and Communication Toolbox.

R&D Lab

The lab dedicated for Research and Development activities in the department. The lab is basically used by students for exploiting their research ideas.

C/C++ Programming Lab

The lab is installed with all important editors like Turbo C with a dual operating system environment where the students can learn to execute C and C++ programs in all types of environments.

Algorithms Lab

The lab provides requisite environment for Design and Analysis of Algorithms for solving complex problems in the field of computer science. Students execute all data structure and other algorithm related practical’s in the lab. The latest platforms/compilers are provided to the students to run their programs.

Linux Administration Lab

The students receive hands on practical experience in the field of System Administration, System Engineering, Hacking and Security. Linux Administration is the key practice in this lab.

Projects Lab

The lab is dedicated for the students to develop their Minor and Major projects. All project related software is installed in this lab to fulfill the requirements of development.

Robotics Lab

The lab is dedicated for the students to develop their projects and understand basic concepts of embedded system design.

Software Engineering Lab

Lab is used for practical implementation of Software Engineering Concepts, It Supports also for various S/W Development Models. Lab exercise involving development of various practical applications using software.

Language Lab

Communication plays a pivotal role in today’s dynamic technical environment. With growing competitiveness and globalization, communication becomes a critical component of one’s performance. AIT caters to this need and emphasizes on holistic personality development of students with attention towards development of communication skills. The institute has one of the finest language laboratories in Udaipur.

Internet Facility

The internet lab of the department is that of 310 Mbps available to all the students and staff of AITS. It consists of computers with all the relevant and required software exclusively for Internet working. The facility is forwarded to different departments for its easier accessibility. There is also Wi-Fi connection in college campus.
